1. Hello hello! My name is Libby Thompson, and I'm a junior studying Communication Design and potentially minoring in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
2. I'm excited to learn more about the fundamentals of web design and the programs behind it.
3. My experience with HTML is essentially zero, so I'm looking forward to learning a lot in this class.
4. I hope to gain skills in coding and grow in my understanding of web design in ways that I can actually apply productively after this class.
5. I think a big difference between designing for paper products versus a screen is thinking about how people approach reading and absorbing information on a screen differently.
6. I think that Madewell has a website with effective design as it draws in consumers to the products with its layout and communicates the vibe of the brand well.
7. I think that the Skimm is a website that shows good communication in that it is a website which holds so much information but limits the overwhelming clutter lots of information can create with the effective use of hyperlinks and good organization, making it easy for readers to digest.
8. I think that Confetti Studio has a website that works well because it is eyecatching and does a really good job of showing the diverse branding jobs that it has done but making them feel cohesive.
